Count Dracula's Store
The children made pictures on cards and we practiced buying, selling and counting change. The children made receipts of purchases and figured out how much money they could spend. Count Dracula's Store will be open for business through October in Ms. Rich's classroom!

Roxaboxen project using Netbooks in the classroom
Today we had our netbook classroom demonstration with Mrs. Schulz. This is such a great way to be able to publish our writing projects but it requires patience, teamwork and super direction following. We are off to a great start and will use the netbooks again on Monday. The children signed a netbook "rules and responsibilities" form which is stapled to the spelling test today. This form requires a parent signature and I would like the form to be returned on Monday.
Downtown Library Field Trip
Mr. Patrick gave us a great tour of the downtown library. The puppet show, Many Moons, was well done and the children enjoyed being able to ask the puppeteers questions about their profession.
Off to a great start in second grade!
Dear all,
Here is our first class picture in second grade! I am excited about trying a blog for my students and parents to enjoy. You can look forward to information about our classroom and some fun pictures. Have a wonderful weekend!
